Conni – 10-05-15 NC Trip – Asheville, NC – Blue Ridge Parkway

We set out today for a nice drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is a beautiful road that stretches 469 miles between the Shenandoah and Great Smoky Mountains National Parks. It has thousands of views and over 300 overlooks.

We only made it a few miles though and a section was closed due to downed trees from recent flooding and winds. So, we had to turn back, but will try to catch other parts of it later in the trip.

Before we returned to the campground, we went by the Cathedral of All Souls.
